June 21st, 2011Thinking about something different for the upcoming school holidays? Instead of heading south to the snow or North to Queensland, why not stay in Sydney and come to the Northern Beaches. There are plenty of great beaches to see and places to go to. It is very different at this time of year.
Imagine walking along Palm Beach and being the only person on the Beach! At this time of year it happens. Also look out and watch the whales swim by from one of the headlands. The Dolphins are around most morning surfing the waves at the beaches. Just a great time to be around. Light a log fire, go out to dinner at one of the local cafes or just catch up with friends for a weekend away.
There are still some great houses available for the school holidays so make the most of the winter rates and come and have a great family holiday – the prices will amaze you for the houses. It is more expensive to stay in a Hotel than it is to rent a house at this time of year and you get so much more for your dollar as well.

Long weekend……
June 16th, 2011What a fantastic Long weekend just passed…..Not the normal weekend weather wise but it made it even more enjoyable. Wet and windy conditions made for the perfect winter getaway with a roaring log fire in the background and curled up on the sofa with a good booking and watching the wooly surf and wild ocean…..a perfect getaway winter’s weekend.
Some of the houses that had fire places are here below and are always available for weekend getaways if you are thinking of other weekends to get away for in winter.

The Boat House at Palm Beach – How can you go past a location like this?
Jonah’s in Whale Beach – What a view and such a special place.
The Healthy Chef in Avalon – where else would you want to have breakfast….and it is healthy!
Dunes at Palm Beach – Great for a Sunday lunch with the family.
Clareville Kiosk at Clareville Beach – planning an intimate meal with your favourite person, then try here.
Burgers on Parade in Avalon – you have to try one of the hamburgers there…..absolutely fantastic and great to get an old fashioned hamburger!
H2O in Narrabeen – Sunday morning watching the paddlers go by is a great way to start the day.

April 5th, 2011Well Daylight Savings has finished and the first colder winds are creeping up on the Northern Beaches but with the Easter School Holidays only a few days away, there is still time for one last trip to the beach before you swap the swimmers for the jumpers.
This time if year is perfect for a getaway to the beaches. There are no crowds and the houses are very affordable so take advantage of the school holidays or even the Special Easter period which has 4 public Holidays out of 5 days and make the most of the short post Easter week and have some relaxing time at the beach. Planning it right could give you a break of 10 days for only 3 work days!!!!!
With the days getting shorter it might be worth looking at some other areas around Pittwater such as Clareville or Mackerel Beach for something different. Here are a few good places to stay and take advantage of the afternoon sunshine.

Summer in Palm Beach and the Northern Beaches

What a fantastic summer it has been on the Northern Beaches. Christmas Day was superb – 25 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. Boxing Day…..Perfect summer weather. The holiday period between Christmas and New Years Day was one of the best in the last few years with spectacular weather and temps in the mid to high 20’s every day. This is what I call Beach weather. There were plenty of people around enjoying all the spoils of the beaches…..There was even a few days of good surf as well which was enjoyed by all. The water temperature continued to rise and is currently around 24 degrees making a daily swim a must!
For those wanting to make the most of the summer, February is a great time to get away and have a weekend relaxing whilst everyone is back at work and the kids are at school. Look through the website and see if any houses catch your eye. I know I have my favourites for weekends and there are still available houses with pools as well.
Enjoy the rest of summer and hopefully I will see you all around the beaches over the coming weeks!
Summer is just around the corner……
October 19th, 2010WIth Summer school holidays less than 8 weeks away, now is the time to make sure that you have organised your holiday accommodation for the Christmas period and January as well. There are still some really good houses available for rent for the Christmas time and with the strengthening Aussie Dollar and the drop in overseas clients, most of the houses have dropped their prices which makes for some really good savings to be had on Christmas and January.
Over the next few weeks there will be a surge in rentals with the completion of the HSC and other school exams and also the end of University for the year so people will be focusing on the upcoming summer holidays. So if you are thinking of taking advantage of cheaper rental rates this year, now is the time to snap up a great beach house for the upcoming summer holidays.
